A surprising number of small businesses still don’t have any kind of internet presence, while many rely solely on one or two social media channels. These businesses are running a risk. With more and more transactions being enacted online and customers consulting search engines and web directories for their business and social needs, it can be safely said that if your business is not online it’s virtually invisible.
Creating a website can be daunting, so PUCC has teamed up with digital marketing agency, Netstripes, to offer a program that will help members get online.
If you don’t have a website or would like your digital profile improved, you can contact PUCC, become a member and enlist in the program.
Interested business owners will be invited to an information seminar / networking event where they will explore and workshop the benefits of having a website. During the seminar, they’ll develop key selling points for their website and learn how to use of social media channels to promote a new website.
Business owners will then consult with a web designer who’ll create a professional, user-friendly page with the following elements:
• Main Menu
• Main Title Image
• Caption • Sub Caption
• Core Products or Services Area (3- images)
• About us – Image of owner / principal • Why us
• Contact details
Web pages will be hosted on the PUCC website. Local businesses will have the option to purchase their own domain names, though this will not be necessary for a page to go live. Each new business page will be featured in a Pyrmont Ultimo business directory on the Chamber website free of charge.
