Cyclists and pedestrians can find their way through the precinct via The Goods Line, an exciting urban renewal project that turned a disused rail corridor into a pedestrian and cycle network from Railway Square and Ultimo to Darling Harbour. Sydney Fish Market in Pyrmont is one of the world’s most impressive fish markets, featuring an exhaustive range of seafood and the famous Sydney Seafood School. Tours of the Market are held at 6:40am every Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.
Pyrmont and Ultimo locals are proud of their quarter, and love to celebrate the rich diversity of the neighbourhood with regular festivals and events. Each year in May, the precinct celebrates its culinary excellence with the annual Pyrmont Festival, showcasing the region’s best wine, food and art over ten days.
