PUCC is awaiting approval on its application for a growers market in Pirrama Park. City Of Sydney Council is inviting comments and feedback regarding the application. Use the “comments” tab on the page link below and submit your views and opinions by October 9.
If council approves the application it will issue a 12 month licence with an option to renew for up to 5 years.
PUCC will then work with council, nearby businesses and property owners to design the look and layout of the market, so that it is harmonious with the activities and aesthetic of the area.
The proposal submitted is for a monthly market running from 8am – 2.30pm on the first Saturday. Roughly 40 stalls will offer fresh produce and local artisan goods. The operator will be in constant consultation with surrounding businesses to ensure the market enriches retail potential for everyone.

  1. Having lived in Pyrmont for over three years and especially working here as well. Nothing was more pleasant than going to the markets on a Saturday, connecting with the locals, enjoying the fantastic food and entertainment. We all work hard and it offers everyone a time to enjoy our suburb and make life so much more worhtwhile.
