The seventh Sydney International Women’s Jazz Festival is being held this November – and if seven is a lucky number, then “lady luck” will guarantee its success. Presented by Sydney Improvised Music Association (SIMA), this year’s festival brings top notch jazz artists from USA, Finland and Japan to our shores to share the bill with some of the best local talent. International artists will perform solo gigs as well as joining forces with premium home grown musicians.
Reflecting the changing landscape of the music scene as well as an arts trend towards intersection and collaboration, the 2018 program is varied, refreshing and full of surprises. You can expect to be intimately engaged with a solo performer, feel like one of the gang with a quartet, or watch the roof get blown off by a sixteen piece troupe.

Foundry 616 is the hub of the festival and most performances will take place there. This snazzy venue has established itself as the Sydney hot spot for quality live music, great food and delicious cocktails. It’s a perfect one-stop night out.
