The NSW Seniors Festival is almost a senior itself! This year it celebrates its 60th anniversary and, with the festival’s theme being Let’s Do More Together, everyone is invited to the party.
There is a wide range of activities across the state including concerts, workshops, talks, walks, exhibitions, theatre and much more.
Major events include the Premier’s Gala Concert which this year will feature multi-talented star of the Dream Lover musical David Campbell, and Australian Idol’s favourite judge and ARIA Hall of Fame artist Marcia Hines. They’ll be joined on stage by celebrated country music singer, Darren Coggan, X Factor’s Jess & Matt, and award-winning jazz vocalist, Emma Pask.
The NSW Seniors Festival Expo is a two day fair featuring stalls on lifestyle, health, government, advocacy and general interest. There will be demonstrations and shows, food and samples.
Laugh out loud with Gary Elk, Tommy Dean, Peter Berner, Chris Radburn, Peter Meisel, James Smith and Lady Sings it Better at the NSW Seniors Festival Comedy Show. The event will be hosted by Jean Kittson and is held in partnership between City of Sydney and NSW Seniors Festival.
If you’re part of a local community group, volunteer or not-for profit organisation you might want to consider applying for a NSW Seniors Festival Grant. Run by the Department of Family and Community Services, the Grants Program provides $200,000 in seed-funding for organisations to hold events and activities across the state during the annual NSW Seniors Festival.

Many events are free but you will need to book. For more information and to get tickets go to: https://seniorsfestival.nsw.gov.au/
