This year is 30th Anniversary for the NSW Tourism Awards, marking three decades of celebrating excellence in the provision of tourism services in this state. Since its inception the awards has steadily grown in scope, and in 2019 they’ve added yet another category – Excellence In Accessible Tourism. With a total of 29 categories ranging across a variety of segments, services, and business types, there is great opportunity for anyone in the industry to win an award.
Many of the awards will also qualify the winner to be eligible for the Qantas Australian Tourism Awards, where they’ll compete against finalists from around the country.
To assist businesses with their entries, NSW Tourism Awards has developed a number of resources freely available on their website. They include downloadable guides, workshops, videos, and a webinar detailing every aspect of the awards. They also have an email and phone number you can contact for specific enquiries.
Pyrmont Ultimo is a recognised tourist destination and there are many businesses in our precinct who would be good contenders for a NSW Tourism Award. Apart from the prestige and publicity gained by winning an award, there are also benefits to be garnered simply from entering. The rigorous entry process will give you a thorough insight into your own business and a benchmark for your industry segment. The resources provided offer invaluable information and an overview of industry standards.
