Pyrmont is one of the key precincts that will undergo review by the Greater Sydney Commission in line with the NSW Government’s Metropolis Of Three Cities plan. In a letter from the Minister for Planning and Public Spaces, the Hon Rob Stokes MP to the chief commissioner, Mr Stokes expressed concern that the current plan does not fulfil the vision the government has for the Western Harbour district. He cites feedback from the public as indicating a need to re-visit the original plan.

“Public commentary in recent weeks has questioned whether the existing planning framework for this area remains fit for purpose and will deliver good planning outcomes consistent with the desired future character of this important part of our city.”

The commission is requesting input from stakeholders including community, industry, and other stakeholders. This can be done via an online form and 10 minute one-on-one meetings with stakeholders.

All feedback must be received no later than 5pm on Monday, 16th September.
