Muriel’s Wedding opens on July 4 with a fabulous production and luminous cast that includes veterans from the first show as well as newcomers. PJ Hogan, who wrote the original script for the 1994 movie has managed to update the stage version without losing any of the vintage humour.
The musical has won 5 Helpmann Awards, 7 Sydney Theatre Awards, an Awgie Award, the 2018 David Williamson Prize, and received an ARIA Award Nomination.
