Stop wondering how to keep the kids occupied during the school holidays, and start wandering through the list of activities on offer at the Museum of Applied Arts and Sciences (MAAS).  They have a range of workshops running throughout the holidays and catering for kids aged 6 through to 16, including some for the whole family. Some of the great workshops on offer include: designing and making Star Wars inspired props; an immersive one-day Minecraft workshop; designing and printing your own 3D objects; writing code to control electronic components; basic science workshops that teach kids the fundamentals with safe, fun experiments. And that’s just a small sample.
The workshops are designed to be entertaining while secretly teaching kids about stuff. Children are encouraged to participate and interact with each other, and there’s no prior knowledge required.
There’s an option to purchase lunch with many of the workshops, so you won’t even have to worry about packing snacks.
