There are only a few more days left to provide feedback on City of Sydney’s late night trading plan. The plan aims to reassess rules governing venues that stay open later than 10pm, including cafes, restaurants, bars, entertainment and music venues.
The City recognises a need to encourage a late night economy to stimulate revenue, growth, activity and culture of Sydney’s CBD and inner city suburbs. Night time trading complements day trading, serves different segments of the community, attracts tourism and adds business opportunities.
It’s important that The City achieves an harmonious balance between night traders and local residents and keeps considerations such as safety, diversity, access and quality at the forefront.
