International Grammar School (IGS) is running a Kindergarten Tour in August to show potential young students and parents the wonderful programs and facilities they offer.
The tour will introduce attendees to the unique IGS community which is diverse, engaged, creative, and multiculturally rich.
Parents and children will have an opportunity to talk to staff and current students, ask questions and experience the stimulating learning environments.
Studies have proven that children learn quickly, efficiently and abundantly at a young age, but that the learning and retention rates slow as they get older. With that in mind, the kindergarten curriculum at IGS aims at instilling foundation knowledge with subject areas including: languages, music, english, mathematics, human society and its environment (HSIE), science and technology, creative arts and personal development, health and physical education (PDHPE).
Language, in particular, should ideally be acquired at a young age. IGS specialises in teaching languages and  immerses students in a bilingual learning environment. Languages taught include Italian, Japanese, French, Chinese [Mandarin] and German.
With the world getting smaller and businesses becoming more global, the benefits of learning one or more additional languages can not be overstated. At IGS, children learn not only the language, but the history and culture that goes with it.
It’s a school that is friendly, vibrant, imaginative, open-minded and highly regarded.
Tours fill fast, so register you place now.
