Celebrating the beauty and diversity of Australia’s heritage vessels and their craftspeople, the Classic and Wooden Boat Festival will return to Sydney’s Darling Harbour 13-15 April 2018. And festival organisers are calling on vessel owners to register their expressions of interest in bringing their heritage vessels to take part in the three day festival.
The Classic and Wooden Boat Festival is a weekend celebration of vintage and wooden boats from all around Australia. From beautiful Halvorsens, yachts and skiffs, classic speedboats, steam yachts and even Navy workboats it represents Australia’s rich maritime history. Boating enthusiasts and families enjoy a packed program of maritime demonstrations, workshops, harbour cruises, children’s activities and more set against the backdrop of sparkling Sydney Harbour.
It is expected that over 150 boats will be on display at the museum and in Cockle Bay Marina for thousands of festival visitors to enjoy.
