Netstripes’ signature networking event, Bizuption, is happening again in November, with special guest of honour, Senator The Hon Michaelia Cash. Founder and head Netstriper, Dinesh De Silva, will apply his charm and business acumen in an informative but relaxed discussion with the Federal Minister for Small and Family Business; Skills and Vocational Education.
Born in Western Australia, Senator Cash gained a Bachelor of Arts degree at Curtin University, majoring in politics, public relations, and journalism, before attaining a Law Degree from University of London. She practised law for 10 years with a Western Australian law firm where she worked in the areas of industrial relations, employee relations, occupational health and safety, equal opportunity, executive employment, and unfair dismissal. Her political career began in 2007 after she was elected to the Senate as a Liberal Party member. She has remained in the Senate to this day, under several Prime Ministers, and has held a number of portfolios including Minister For Women; Minister For Employment; Minister For Jobs and Innovation; and her current portfolio, among others.
Bizruption is a high energy, congenial event, where participation and interaction are encouraged. It is held at a different venue each time, allowing attendees to experience some of the unique spaces available in Sydney. The November meeting is being held high up in the impressive offices of PwC Barangaroo.
