If you were a Star Wars character what kind would you be? Rebel fighter? Wookie? Jedi Knight? Evil Sith Lord? Here’s your chance to find out. Museum of Arts and Applied Sciences (MAAS) is holding an interactive exhibition: STAR WARS™ Identities at the Powerhouse Museum from November 16.
Visitors will be able to create their Star Wars profile by moving along a series of special interactive stations and working through the activities at each. The activities use a combination of neuropsychology, psychology, and biochemistry principles; bespoke technology; and a collection of over 200 original artefacts, costumes, and props from the Lucasfilm archives, to lead Star Wars fans on a personal Identity Quest.
Along the way rare treasures from the Lucasfilm archives and original costumes, props, models and artworks will be on display, giving a behind the scenes look at the movie-making process. There’s BB-8, R2-D2, the Millennium Falcon, Yoda from Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back™, Darth Vader’s suit from Star Wars: Return of the Jedi™, and much more.
The first chance to experience STAR WARS TM Identities will be at MAASive Lates: Galaxies on Thursday 15 November. This special adults-only night will feature space experts and activities, a Zero Gravity Space lab, prizes for the best costumes and an exclusive opportunity to experience the exhibition before it opens to the public.
